Giggles, Guffaws, and Grace

It looks like I'm going to have about one blog post per month instead of writing daily--how typical of the circumstances of my last three years! Sorry about that. I'm hoping to get my camera hooked up soon so I can post pictures here as well.

Last night I drove up to a suburb north of Seattle to hear Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (the Yarn H arlot) talk about her newest book, Things I Learned From Knitting whether I wanted to or not" and I haven't laughed that hard in just ages. She is so funny! Clever funny, not silly funny. It was good to see her again. I had a marvelous class with Stepanie at the Madrona Fiber Arts Winter Retreat, and look forward to taking her class next year which will be called, "Knitting for Speed and Efficiency"--and I've never seen a faster knitter than the Harlot. Can't wait!

I had two great experiences last night (besides those that happened inside "Third Place Books." Both involved unsolicited help in the parking lot with my scooter, scooter lift, and scooter cover. Perfect strangers volunteered to help me, two really nice guys. That's grace, you know. Pure Grace.

More later, hopefully.
